When does God’s grace become amazing to you?

Some of us might love or at least be aware of that lovely popular hymn, “Amazing Grace”. I found these lines in the book “Living the Cross-centered Life” where the author shares why had he been teaching his young son about God’s blazing anger (or wrath) at his sins or wrong-doings. These words helped me understand when does God’s grace become truly amazing:

“Some might find it surprising that I would teach a young boy about his sin, and about God’s wrath toward sin.  But I find it surprising that any loving person would withhold this truth from another person they love.  Because only when we understand God’s wrath toward sin can we realize that we need to be saved from it …Only those who are painfully aware of God’s wrath are amazed at God’s grace.” – C.J.
